Random Flickr Oddities

I'd like to point out that EVERYTHING in this photo is knitted, including the chair frame. If you took all of the time used to knit this knitted garden, and did something like, I don't know, volunteer at a humane society, nursing home, or children's hospital, someone could have made a REAL difference.
This is a knitted devil doll. Nightmares anyone?
Mmmmmm, tasty:

Again, I say, looks good for the little boy or girl with a "play" kitchen. I find the plastic "food" disgusting. But, then, I am a grannie ! Thanks for your funny site.

Joyce,
You have a point, although I have to say I am a southern girl, so I grew up playing with little plastic fried foods. LOL I do have to admit though, that knitted sushi is the best knitted food I have seen so far. It almost makes me crave sushi!

I think the garden is part of the Knitted Gingerbread House whch is a wrok of staggering commitment and has been touring the UK for a year or too. So far they have raised over £200,000 for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. They could've spent the time taken to knit it just going around asking people for money but somehow I think they woldn't have nearly raised the same amount of money. These projects are all about raising awareness and engaging with the public. It's a fundamental way to raise a charity's earnings and profile.
